For those wishing to learn how to create this visual art, I conduct Timescape Workshops. Each 1-2-1 workshop offers the opportunity to visit, with me, the City of London where I share my skills on taking and creating Timescape images.
Timescapes are an art, and so I believe there is always scope for individualism. That is why the aim of each workshop is to enable you to visualise your own Timescape artwork, and equipped you with the skills to make it. This is conducted across two separate sessions.
The cost for these workshops are £250 per person which includes the first and second session, and take place on weekends. Adobe Photoshop and a Laptop/Computer for editing is required.
Session One:
Shooting, On Location, 6 Hours
On location, this focusses on the method of taking your Timescape image library. Conducted in a friendly and relaxed way, we will focus on location planning, visualisation, camera settings, light, composition and image capturing.
Session Two:
Editing, Virtual, 2 hours
In this virtual session (arranged at the end of session one), we complete the process and create your Timescape image. Here I share my own editing techniques, before diving into the images you took to digitally create your own Timescape. We discuss the original vision, and build the picture together. This session is Photoshop orientated and focusses on image selection, layering, blending, and editing.
